I have a real soft spot for the short lived pre triple triangle Gt’s because the pierced seat tube junction reminds me of the first gen GT Fuelers that I wanted as a kid. Anyway cool old guy stories aside, when I first spotted the pink decals under heavy layer of grime I knew that what was left of this diamond in the rough needed to be saved. With nothing outside of the frame and fork being usable or complete I found myself rummaging through the parts stash to see what would stick and well, this is what stuck. To me it’s just a great bike, simple, reliable, versatile, easy to reach for with an understated cool factor.
